quick question about droid replacment

Hey guys I got my droid 1 and I was reading up on the droid 2 and it said that employies at verizon are being being told to push this as a replacement for the droid 1 so does thatmean that I could take mine back and pay the 50$ for a replacement would I get a droid 2?

I highly doubt it works that way. At the very least, they might offer you an early upgrade to the droid 2, but you would have to pay the 2 yr price and extend your contract another 2 yrs.

First, the Droid 2 isn't out yet. And since Motorola isn't making anymore Droids, or so I heard yes, it would be logical to push another Droid. But right now that's the X not the Droid 2.

The Droid X is not considered a comparable model, so this will not work with insurance. Therefore, if you have insurance, they will try to push you a crappier phone.

Verizon will gladly make you pay full price or sign a new 2-year contract to upgrade the the X I'm sure. But that's the only "pushing" of Droid X or even 2 for that matter that you will get. And I'm sure only the lucky ones get early upgrades, so forget about that and expect to pay full retail price.

I dont know if the X is in the CPO lineup yet, they will not upgrade you from a droid to a droid 2. Even if you do a claim, the phone isn't available yet.
