When you buy an app that is in a different currency, does or will Google convert that into US dollars for you? I want to buy some apps for my droid, but I don't know how much they cost. I tried a currency converter, but can not get it to work.

I'm getting an invalid credit card message when I try to buy apps that are priced in British pounds (e.g. the Pure Calendar widget). I'm in the US. Is there any way to purchase an app that is priced in foreign currency?

I've bought apps from the Market that were sold in pounds several times. So I can confirm it works. I'd suggest trying another payment method.

Thanks. I was using an American Express card. It worked fine when I bought apps in USD but not when I tried to buy apps in British pounds.

I switched my Google checkout card to a Visa, and it went through fine. Both cards have plenty of available credit, and these are just dinky little $1-$2 apps. Maybe the foreign vendor didn't accept Amex for some reason. Weird.
