Quick Google voice ?

I have google voice, and just got an invite I applied for over a year ago. can I forward this email to someone else to use or is it tied to my email?

does anyone know if the invites are transferable? i am waiting for one and hoping someone would be kind enough to send me one if that works. if someone has a google voice invite they are willing to give, please PM me and i will be incredibly grateful!
