Question about Zagg invisibleSHIELD

I just got the invisibleSHIELD put on my phone yesterday at Best Buy. I didn't use the phone for 24 hours which is really more then they said and the phone still has wet streak marks on the screen protector i'm guessing from the solution. does anyone know, who has the shield, if this goes away?

Not sure what you mean by wet streaks, but when I put mine on, it took a few days for all the tiny bubbles under the screen protector to finally go away ....

hmm i don't really know how to explain it. you know how if your fingers are wet from washing your hands or whatnot and you go to wipe your screen streaks of water, like watermarks kind of, show up then you dry it and it's fine? well it looks like streaks are on my phone and i can't tell if it's from the solution like under the screen protector, like if it's still wet or what not. as well as just incase I'd like to activate my warranty online since I bought it in store at BB any idea how i do that?

I think you just go on line to Zaggs website and register it there. I think it said something about that right on the box it came in ... been awhile since I did that.

I'm at work, but can check when I get home later, if you can't figure it out.

Ok - here ya go - ZAGG | Product Registration Process

the solution under the protector will dry within 24hrs.

you can tell if there is still some solution if you look carefully and see some "rainbow" effects. These are under the protector and generally won't disappear, i had a Zagg on my old Droid and there were streaks but it didn't bother me that much. You could try moving it out with a credit card, but it's up to you. If you're unsatisfied with it, just take it back and have them re-install it, that's what I did.

I also had some bubbling under mine which were't too much of an eyesore, but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to screen protectors, so the smallest little bubble will bother me. I left it alone for about 12 days before taking it back (I also got mine at Best Buy), and said I wasn't happy with the initial installation. They got me a brand new InvisaShield, and installed it for me on the spot, no questions asked. The second time around seemed to dry much nicer, as I have no spots, streaks, bubbles, etc.

If it's within 30 days of your original purchase, they'll re-do it for free as long as you have your sales slip.

I put mine on myself about 5 months ago, came out perfect. When people ask if they can check out my phone, the first thing they say is "Why don't you use a screen protector?"

Give it a week.
I've used Zagg for years, and it always took at least a week to fully dry.

I had my Zagg on my original Droid from November til just 2 weeks ago and there was one small streak, about a inch, you could see that never dried. The installer did such a good job with the edges it had no room air out, so it was stuck there.

This is my second droid and i haven't put any screen protector on it. Didn't realize how scratch resistant this thing really was...

I guess the "rainbow" effect thing is kind of what I have, it just looks like streaks. I too am a perfectionist, especially when it comes to protectors. Should I give it a couple days then see if it goes away or should I just go back and have them reinstall?

Yeah, I probably wouldn't have shelled out the cash for my invishield if I'd seen some of the videos about how tough the screen is first.

Not sure what you are getting at? I've taken peoples car keys and scratched the crap out of the the thing to show friends and nothing... nada.... not even a mark.

as for the wet / rainbow effect. it indicates you used too much liquid or didn't squeegee enough out during install and some will remain anyways for up to 2 weeks while the solution fully dries. I had that rainbowy effect too and after about a week or two it must have evaporated out of the edges or permeated through and dried. crystal clear now.

really the only complaint I have on the full zagg body shield at all is that the little strips along the sides seem to collect grease, dust and the corners sometimes catch on things after a while when the dust starts to get into the adhesive and will lift up a bit. Other than that I love my zag. Though with the registered lifetime warranty if pieces come off i can just replace them.

but the screen is fine, that's just the little pieces on the sides.

(note I installed it myself pretty easy just be careful)

What I'm getting at is that the screen is more than tough enough to take anything I throw at it, without the protector on it. I'm thinking about taking it off because the screen feels significanlty better naked. The only thing stopping me is; I don't want to feel like I wasted $40 lol.
