Question about selling a RAZR

So I will have a brand new RAZR that I am going to sell on eBay. Verizon is sending it to me as a replacement for my current one. I want to take this opportunity to sell it on eBay because I think I want to get a GN.

My question is: do I have to activate it or anything before I sell it? I just didn't know if Verizon has anything that has to happen to show that I received , for example like banks do when you order a new debit card.

I would rather not open the box as I would expect to get more for an unopened box... I don't think I will need to do anything but I wanted to ask some of you guys who might know for sure, I just want the transaction on eBay to go smooth for both myself and the buyer.

You just swap sim cards is all. No need to activate it. Your sim is tied to your account. You can always confirm with Verizon as well.
