Question about data loss...

With the loss of 4G/Data Loss/etc. that people are experiencing. Does that mean you don't get texts? Or do text traverse the voice network? Thanks.

I have the same question, expanded to include Google Voice texts. It seems like Google Voice texts travel over data, while regular texts seem to travel over the phone. Hope someone knows for real....

Google Voice texts are data. "Regular" texts are the same as what's sent from a non-smartphone.
