Problems with Rooting. Help please. NO service/Rom manager

hey all. I got s off and root, but Rom manager doesn't recognize that I have a recovery installed through ALphaX program. Also I have No Service! What do I do??

I installed 2 different SU zip files. Idk if that was a bad thing or not. But after the 1st one didn't work I flashed a different one hoping I would get service but still not luck. Soooo HELP!

OK so I have no idea what I did but I decided to install HTC sync and I lost root and I"m back to normal. Sooo something is wrong with the SU zips I guess... But I'm puzzled why.. I did everything according to the instructions as far as I know.. Now... I Think I'm done with Rooting haha.. Sooo I still have S-off, Am I able to apply the OTA update from Verizon?

What would happen if I apply the OTA Update?

It will most likely lock it up again. But I'm not to sure bout that, I ran into a whole lot of problems rooting mine I'm trying to reneger wat I did so I can give u some pointers if u still wana root

yeah, I mean If I can't get the OTA anymore I might as well try and get a rom to work. I installed CM7 just fine through CWM manually, I Just didn't have service.

Please, NO CYANOGEN if you're having problems rooting. Cyanogen is not for beginners. If you are still s-off you are technically rooted. Install a different ROM. You will not receive the OTA.

I think there are too many people running around like chickens with their heads cut off not knowing what exactly they must to do root. >.> I know root is awesome but I feel it's not necessary on the Inc2. I plan to root later on tho when they find a way to root with GB already installed

naaa man^^^ its really straight forward from the tutorials. I'm not sure what went wrong the first time.

Good news. I reflashed CM7 and everything is good. I have Root and SERVICE, YAY. thanks everyone.

Rom Manager still doesn't recognize that Alpharevx installed CWM for me.. Rom Manger asks me if I'd like to Install CWM.. Do I say yes or no? Will the install just overwrite the previous CWM?
