Problem with google music

This phone is odd. Why is mnt/sd the internal storage, but mnt/sdext the memory card?

Anyways, that isn't my problem necessarily. I thought all the music that I had put on my phone was on my sd until I realized I'm low on memory. Using astro, I moved all of my music to mnt/sdext now it doesn't show in my music on google music. All of this was on my sd when I had my thunderbolt and it worked fine. Any help is appreciated

Got the music sorted out with a reboot. Still would like to know about my other question

Rebooting re-mounts the sdcard (external) and thus, rescanning it.

If you go to settings>storage and unmount/mount the external sdcard, it accomplishes the same thing.
