Problem with camera

I have been having this problem with the camera. Has anyone seen this problem.
I was running Bugless 2.1 I just flashed BB Froyo and the same thing occurred in 2.2 running BB and just one of the plain builds also.

Any ideas?
I did not have this problem rooted in 2.01

Sorry if I wasn't clear, But it is the same in Stock Froyo. I have never been in Stock 2.1 and it did not happen in rooted 2.01 or stock 2.01

BB isn't stock Froyo, it's modded by Pete, who knows what he did, hes a great dev he pours hours into his roms.

I am aware that BB is not stock. I am saying that on this phone I have tried the following

Stock 2.01 camera was fine
rooted 2.01 DM camera was fine
Rooted 2.1 BB camera was not fine
Froyo Build FRF57 camera was not fine
Froyo BB camera was not fine

I don't think Pete messed with the camera. That should be the same across froyo whatever's....

I am aware that BB is not stock. I am saying that on this phone I have tried the following

Stock 2.01 camera was fine

I misread...my camera is fine. I'm guessing that the Droid's cameras slightly differ depending on time of purchase, and it's possible that the current Froyo software doesn't play nice with one of em.

Has anyone else seen this distortion or hear about it?

BTW it started with 2.1, I was hoping the new camera software would make a difference but alas no.

I am starting to wonder if it is hardware related.

There is already a thread here discussing this click here, only a handfull of people (about 8 now on this forums, including myself) and with a google search I have found others on other sites..... It doesn't seem like enough people are having a problem with this for a fix to be developed, so wait for the OTA update will be our best bet....
