It's the automated thing that's nice and my wife likes to talk and get her music, so with spousal approval tech is better

My wife rarely, if ever, uses voice commands on her phone. She's less intrigued by Alexa than I am and I'm on the same page as @Mustang02 about it.

I've installed a few home automation systems in my years in construction, and having the ability to control so much simply with the voice is a nice addition to automation. For me technology is only getting more integrated into the construction process and this aspect makes it easier and less expensive than the old wired systems. The jump into automation for myself will not be as much as for my clients, as I'll not put automated blinds, and full automated AC control into my home, but having that option to sell is nice.
My wife is happy with just the music part and likes using a switch...
Now for me, taking to the Smartwatch is absurd... [emoji14]
