Pre-registration app? How does it work?

For pre-registration apps like exp game, it is usually where you can pre register for newly published game, so that you can be able to join Beta testing. As far as my knowledge would go, that's how it works. You can also Pre- register for different games for the free codes that they give out that are usually redeemed for game vouchers.

I'm little confused with that pre-registration to games. anyway I'll try this EXP Game and check it
