Possible to restore just apps?

Ok so heres what happened.
I got a replacement TB because my old one didnt have a working volume button. The backup I made with it wont restore to the new phone. Though the only things I really need are apps, and if possible, messages. Is that the data portion of the install? Currently I'm on the newest Das Bamf is that matters. Thanks

If you used google to backup your apps das bamf has disabled updating. There is a fix for this on xda that reenables it. You can also try loadin a stock rom that doesnt disable backup and back up your apps using titamium backup
