please tell me why jelly bean is not a waste of time..

Downloaded... installed... factory reset done.... after all that my phone is pretty much the same as before. Everything works the same with no changes and my GPS still won't lock. If my battery life takes a hit I will never by another Motorola product. Loved this phone to this point accept gps .. my battery better stay the same.

Why did you upgrade if you loved it already?
I was hoping to see more replies here. I still haven't upgraded b/c the negative comments by far outnumber the positive, and I'm not sure that "Batman ICS Utility" or whatever works on stock phones. All I'd want is a little less lag + GoogleNow. I asked for pros/cons on another thread, but got very little. It would be great to see an objective review or two.

It has a bunch of minor improvements.. if you don't notice or like the differences then return to ICS.

Can you even get ICS on a RAZR Maxx HD? Mine shipped with JB 4.0.2 like a month ago. And the upgrade that came in last week was to JB 4.1.1, purely cosmetic stuff.

Not sure what moto/verizon did to jb update, but on nexus going from ics to jb was like going from Chevy to Lexus. It's so much smoother and faster feels like a different phone.

Really like the updated voice search, works very well and fast. the notification improvements are good as well.

The screwed up the notifications royally. One of the biggest wow things about jellybean was that you could reply to texts right from the notification pull down. Can you do that on the Motorola update? No. That's B.S. Google voice search just like Siri, is a novelty that quickly wears off. It drains battery to boot.

Nope. It's been there since 4.1https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poSFV9_abcw&feature=youtube_gdata_player fast forward to around 2:30-2:45 where he says you can do that. Also, about 2 months ago there was an app featured on this site called Jellybean Notifications that would let you do that. This was before 4.2 was announced.
