Please help! Locked out of Droid!

1. Download the following files:
Code:
[URL="http://rescue.macleod-web.net/rsd_lite/RSDLite4.6.zip"]RSD Lite[/URL]
[URL="http://rescue.macleod-web.net/rsd_lite/USB_Drivers_32_bit_4.2.0.zip"]32 bit drivers[/URL] [B] or[/B]  [URL="http://rescue.macleod-web.net/rsd_lite/USB_Drivers_64_bit_4.2.0.zip"]64 bit drivers[/URL]
[URL="http://rescue.macleod-web.net/sbf/moto-droid2.01stock.sbf"][SIZE=2]2.01 stock sbf file[/SIZE][/URL]
  • Install RSD Lite. Unzip the file and run the msi file
  • Install the drivers.
  • place downloaded .sbf file on desktop

2. Connect your phone to USB and turn it off then while your phone is booting hold up on the DPAD.

3. Run RSD Lite 4.6 as Administrator (For all you Vista and 7 folks out there. If you are using XP you may not need to run as Administrator)

4. Click the ... next to the filename box and browse to where you saved the .sbf file and double click the .sbf file.

5. Hit start and below it should give you completion progress and all of that.

6. Once your phone is done being flashed (It may take a while so don't unplug it) it will reboot and you will be back at stock 2.1 no root.

7. Once you are back to stock 2.0.1, OTA will do it's do!

done!

Are you guys serious? There is no solution for this but wipe the phone? This problem has been prevalent since 1.5 and all Google has done is closed the loop hole so that you can't actually resolve this?

This is ****ing horse****.

Thanks...but my phone isn't in Debug mode...and I have not figured out a way to get to the options/settings...is this still going to work?

Thanks but whatever...I'll just do a factory reset...this is a major strike against Android and seriously pisses me off...I can't believe they haven't resolved this.

ok are you rooted with a custom recovery?if so it can be done in recovery mode. i'm not sure about the stock recovery image.

anyone know if you can mount system and data in the stock recovery?

I shouldn't have to install a developers tool to unlock my god damn phone (not pissed at you, extremely pissed at Google for this bull****)
