Playing music from Droid on Xbox

How can this be done? I know Twonkyserver used to be the answer, but I can no longer find it in the market. Is there another way? Thank you.

i tried to do this by connecting my phone and xbox via usb and mounting my sd. my xbox couldn't find my sd card and it made my phone start to freak out.

I've been looking around, and it looks like there is no way to do this with out twonkyserver. I guess I'll just have to look for the apk somewhere, if anyone has it, can you please share?

I can't speak to the XBox, but I've done this on my PS3 with my D2.

I use the built-in DNLA app on the D2. It requires your phone (via Wifi) and your console to be on the same network and visible to each other. I just startup DNLA on my phone, then from my PS3 I browse under Music and my D2 shows up as a UPnP media server with all of the music I have on the phone.

If you're not running a D2 or another phone with a built-in DNLA app, I'm not sure what you would use. Bottom line is that you need an app for the phone that speaks UPnP/DNLA.

That said, it's easier to install Mediatomb on an old Linux box (Ubuntu has it built-in, just use your package manager) and stream from a cheap PC. It has explicit support for XBox 360 (there are some peculiarities about it), but I haven't tried it.

Thank you, it's just not showing up in my market, I even tried the barcode in appbrain...no dice. If anyone can share the apk since it's a free app, it would be much appreciated.
