Playing mivies

When I first got my droid x it played everything. Now, all of a sudden, when I download a movie from my computer, I get a msg on my phone that says "video format not supported. Download anyhow? "

Any ideas?

Stupid question is if you are creating your movies the same or did a setting change you might not have noticed? That could change the format and make it unplayable. The stock app seems to be a bit finicky about what it will or won't play.

I use Handbrake to convert my data to the right format for the phone but it's hit or miss and I have not found settings that work every time. I've accidentally converted a movie using the wrong preset which fails on the phone so check how you are converting your data. Re-convert one you've done already and see if that plays now.
