Physical keyboard backlight dead?

So I recently flashed CM7 Build GRH78C and I noticed that the physical keyboard's backlight is gone unless I slide out the keyboard, go to Settings, and manually change the screen's brightness. Only then my keyboard's backlight comes back on, but only for a 10 seconds at most. Does anyone know if there's a fix for this?

I'm having similar issues, but doesn't seem like many others are. I hope someone figures this out.

Solved.

I just updated to the latest nightly (build 16) and the backlight issue was solved.

It appears to have resolved with build 16 for me as well.
