Photos are blurry when someone calls

Thunderbolt is the best thing I've ever used, but any time someone calls that I've linked to a Facebook account, the picture comes up blurry. Also, my tab that I keep all my family/quick contacts in has the same issue. The pictures look all out of focus. The facebook page comes up fine and the pictures load through the FB app, but when it comes to call log and looking at the shortcuts on the main page/desktop, it's like my contacts fell out.

Any cures for my rather insignificant ills?

I think it's just that when it gets the picture from facebook it saves it as a small and low quality image. It's the same on the iphone.
