Phone Only mode?

I have tried various profile apps including Ear, Quick Profiles, and Profiles (by Egg 'n Stone). However I can't get any of them to have the phone on ring, but the notifications (email/txt) be silent. They always seem to vibrate or ring.
Am I using these customizations wrong or is there no phone only option possible???

I use a program called setting profiles for this exact thing. At night I do not want any notifications but I do want to hear phone calls. Setting Profiles is able to accomplish this for you.

wow.... I think I finally got it. Not sure why it took so many attempts to find the right profile app! Thanks for the suggestion.

Does this Setting Profiles app work the way the old BlackBerry profiles did, where you could have the phone muted, but still get SMS tones from certain people? Right now, I have Handcent SMS installed, which allows me to use different tones for SMS from different people. Would Setting Profiles conflict with, or override that?
