When my fascinate is on a wall or car charger, it is at best extremely buggy (in respect to the touch interface) and at worst totally unresponsive. This is not true for all wall chargers (one seems to allow it to work normally), nor does it apply to charging plugged into a computer via usb.

Help?

The oem charger got devoured by a dog within 24 hours of phone purchase... Both wall chargers I own are from my previous phone, an lg env2.

Make sure they are providing enough of a charge. If they are under the required amount the Droid will act wonky......

Not sure, I do know if the correct charger is used that issue never happens.

I don't sees how the chargers could be that different. :/

Check how many volts/amps they put out.
Should be written in the charger.

I know on the Motorola Droid the charger used makes a ton of difference in some cases. I've always had a jillion (technical term for "lots and lots") of old chargers around and used them sort of interchangeably between phones. With the Droid, however, and some of the chargers the phone display would simply go nuts. I could touch the screen and it was like I was touching it in 2 or 3 places at once. Really weird. Put in on the stock charger and zero issues.

Good luck.

I have the stock moto droid charger and my screen still acts in this way....depending on which kernel I'm currently using.

With my droid plugged into my laptops USB and my laptop plugged into the main (wall) my screen does this also.

Too much voltage is the issue for me.

So its apparently not an uncommon issue. The question remains... Does this damage the phone?

Of course, in the world of the car audio.... you over power subs they blow or you under power them they blow. Everything needs something specific for electronics.
