Phone constantly restarting after gingerbread update

This is mostly occuring when Im viewing text messages, lock the screen (either via timeout or manual), unlock it, and go right back to the text message screen. It freezes for 5 seconds-ish then the phone will restart. Also, if I just open my text message to soon after its been sent theres a chance that the phone will restart also. It never did this before the gingerbread OS update.

This is on a droid 2 BTW
