Permissions reset

That's odd. Out of the blue all my apps are asking for permissions like something happened to reset them all.
Not a big deal, just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?!?

Yep. Started today... Not sure why.

Did you reset app defaults? I don't think that affects permissions, but haven't reset then since Marshmallow and the new style app permissions that came with Marshmallow.

Tapatalk asked for location permission for me yesterday or the day before. Other than that, no existing app has asked me for any permissions, that I recall.

I didn't reset anything either. Apps just started asking. No updates on those particular apps, either. I did go through the big crossover to Nougat the other day, but these permissions just started unprompted.

Just started after 7.0 update? Doesn't nougat handle permissions differently Allowing you to select some or all of the permissions requested? Maybe since the update it ask again to allow you to modify them.

The OP, PereDroid, is still on Marshmallow 6.0.1.

Restarted my phone, lost permissions again for several apps. But not all.
Couldn't control my Nest. Went into it: no permission.
Did some Google searches and see people having this issue after restart. So I gave Next all its permissions, rebooted: gone.
WTF is going on?

I don't think it's a marshmallow/nougat thing. I'm getting requests for permission on various apps, but it's few & far between now. I don't think mine is due to restarting, but I'll pay closer attention & get back with ya. Something, somewhere isn't remembering our preferences.

Quick way to see would be to restart your phone and see what happens.
I did restart this morning after a significant battery drain which I have yet to figure out. No permission requests after, but like I said earlier, I'm only getting a sporadic request that doesn't seem to make sense yet. It's not ALL my apps, nor even the same ones each time. I've had so many things going on in my life that I honestly haven't been paying attention to which ones, so I will try to document over the next week or so and get back with you on what my experience is...

Looks like just about everything lost permission.... hmmmm.
I did switch Launchers awhile back. Not using Nova anymore.
I'm going to switch back to Nova and see what happens.

*Fixed*
Went back to Nova, set some perms on a few apps, reboot and they stuck.
Too bad, TSF Launcher. I did enjoy you.
