I decided to root my droid 2 global a while back. I had a friend from work do it for me.
My factory rom had a well known issue - a second copy of texts hiding in the contacts area. Plus I just wanted to play so recently I downloaded and updated my rom to D2 global fission 2.4.3. That took care of the txt thing. Unfortunately - this one does not sync the google calendar.
