people app issue, resetting spd dials and wdgt actions

it seems, that my DINC randomly loses any default actions I have set for contacts in the People app. I only use about 10 contacts in Favorites widget and have a default number for each. Then, I have one speed dial, not included in Favorites widget. I would probably add more to these lists, but I seem to almost weekly need to reset the default action and the speed dial.
any idea why this happens? I'd like to keep using the stock People app, if this can be resolved.
