PdaNet keeps disconnecting!!!!!!

I had it working on my old phone now I have a new phone when I plug in it says usb2 then doesn't detect the new phone even with USB debugging checked. the program tells me select USB debugging when it is checked. n pdanet remembers my old device how do I make pdanet forget my old device n accept a new one. I tried uninstalling pdanet n reinstalling but it still like sync remember my old device but doesn't my new n I have all the necessary drivers. my new device is type c USB could that be the issue or is it something else ..
