D Droidfish Member Mar 23, 2010 #2 You can just rename the file extension from.apk to .zip and unzip it. When you're done just rezip and rename to .apk Most archiving programs(winrar, 7-zip) can actually unzip and .apk the way it is but if you've never done it it's easier to just rename. I'm not even sure you can find the version number in there but I think it would be in there somewhere.

OP OP C Cyrus6001 Member Mar 23, 2010 #3 cool! so i assume all apk's will have the config.txt file that lists the software version?
D Droidfish Member Mar 23, 2010 #4 That would be my guess but really I only get into the apk files to edit icons or skin widgets
