Pandora from phone into Home Stereo?

I was hoping to be able to stream Pandora from my phone into the receiver in my garage. When I plug my phone (Original Moto Droid) into the Stereo Receiver via a 3mm to RCA stereo plug, I get tons of feedback - similar to when you place your blackberry next to a speaker phone.

Is there any way to prevent/mimize this?

I connect my droid the same way, but I have to turn the phones volume all the way down. If I don't it sounds like crap. But I never got feed back.

if you unplug the charger cord it will stop phone chargers are not grounded and thus will produce a feedback sound i found out the hard way

Are you connected using wi-fi or 3g?

I can see the chance of feedback using 3g.... but if you're on wi-fi there shouldn't be any.
