"Package File Was Not Signed Correctly"

I am getting this error when trying to install/update Google Search or Google Voice Search.

Suggestions?? I tried clearing the cache and data for both but that did nothing. I was going to uninstall and try to re-download but that option is not available from Manage App's.

EDIT: Forgot to mention i am on newest version 12.11 coming from 12.3 working great.

Is it possible the app has been themed? This will happen when themers modify things because they cannot sign the modified app with the same credentials as the original publisher.

The usual fix is to un-install (remove) the app and then re-install it.

Uninstall not an option in app manager for these two. However - i was able to use root explorer to go in and rename the app for voice search and re downloaded from market - works fine now.

Still cant find where to delete/rename google search to get it to re install.

Try using Titanium backup for Root users; you can back up and remove/restore all apps, including system ones easily.
