OTA update

Got a notification this morning asking if I wanted to accept an OTA update. My phone is rooted but nothing else. Im coming from a OG Droid and the recoveries blocked the updates. Will the recovery on the X2 block the updates as well? Don't want to accept.and then have to SBF back because I lost root. Thanks for your help guys!

Don't know the answer to your question, but my rooted Droid 2 tried to update yesterday. Thankfully, it failed. I don't want/need Gingerbread.

There is a method to root 2.3.3 that was made for the droid 3, but it also works on the x2. Some people have had problems with it but it worked fine for me, and its a one click so its simple to use.
