OTA update?

I'm currently running .591 and was curious if anyone has got the OTA .596 version since it was rumored to hit today??

Yea I know it was rumored...also heard gingerbreak can't root it so ill probably just wait for TBH to release it on their app

You can always run the TBH. 595 version until its officially pushed.

I haven't even tried 595 because I'm using liberty gb v.05 I like that too much to switch up 595

It's not going to be any different or groundbreaking than the .591 or .595 build. The only difference is they found a way to block root so far with the OTA. That's why they've been leaking these builds, to see if the hackers can get through them or not.

If you value root access, stay on a leak, or wait till the OTA comes out and is rooted successfully. Better yet, try a Rom like Zombiestomped 1.65 for the DX. It's awesome.

I like liberty gb .05 so far...I wondered why they keep leaking versions...thanks for that info! I just read somewhere that people that don't accept the ota will be listed as rooted users or something to that affect...I don't really know if I believe that....some people don't accept it because they don't know what it is...like this older guy I work with never updated his Eris until I showed him how!

I don't know why they would be so concerned with rooted users, rooting only voids the warranty it doesn't violate the TOS, now unpaid tethering does and you have to be rooted to do that (for the most part, I know pdanet works on unrooted phones) and that might be what they are trying to peg rooted users for.

No but if they suspect your rooted they may watch your data usage like a hawk

That is true. I don't tether or anything like that, so I fly low under the radar. I alway use my PC to download any flies or movies.
