os problems

my dad has had the phone for two years. It was a company phone, its not one anymore because it started messing up bad.

heres the problems. you cant go into setting, it force closes everything you try to do, you can only call on it that's it. I was going to try to bootload it and instill something different, but I cant get in to the setting to change the usb setting or anything at all.

I don't know what else to do?

Factory data reset. Power off the phone. Power back on and hold down the volume button. You should come to a white screen with multi-color writing. Using the volume buttons to scroll and the power button to select, scroll down to factory data reset and hit the power button. That will wipe the phone clean. If the fdr isn't on the first screen, select recovery first, then fdr. Nothing on the sd card will be touched and all contracts will return once a google account is signed into. Once that is done, reboot the phone and get signed in. Should get you back up and running.
