Organizing issues

Hello all. I'm pretty sure I have a common starter issue with the droid.

I just go the new android incredible HTC. My issue is organizing the home screen. I hate all the app. clutter and don't want to see it.

I know how to create a new folder, name it, and add the apps to it, but I want the app I added to the folder to DISAPPEAR from the home screen when I expand the apps.

For some reason, after adding the app to the new folder and long-clicking the app and dragging it to the trash can, it still stays on the home screen.

Kinda frustrating. Hopefully someone knows an easy fix for me ?

Are you making sure the trash icon turns red? If not, you aren't actually deleting the icon.

Yes. I'm making sure the trash can turns red. The icon for the app does not disappear.

Could you possibly make a video of yourself deleting it so we could see if it's a glitch with your phone or just a simple mistake we can help with?
