Option to "add new item" in barcode scanners.

I have two bar code scanners installed. "ShopSavvy" and "Out of Milk". Neither can find about 75% of the items I've scanned. Why don't the developers of these apps or others like them add a feature that prompts the user when it can't find a barcode with "Would you like to add this item?" ???

Then the user could type in the description of the item and optionally that information could be forwarded to the app developer for addition to the database.

Makes me wish I was a developer.

Now I'll be really embarrassed if someone posts that there *IS* an app that does that....hehe

It would be nice also to have a shopping list app that asked; "What is the shelf price?", and have buttons for the price per/unit or by weight.

I'm still looking for one.
