A month or so back I saw an app that lets you operate your phone through your computer. You connect the phone through the USB and your phone is displayed on the monitor and you can type and use your mouse on your phone through your computer as if your tower is now the phone. I was looking for something totally different so I skipped it, but after thinking about it for a while, I found things that this would be a very useful app to have, but now I can not remember what it was called or how I found it in the first place.
This is not an emulator (run android apps on your computer) this controls your phone through the USB cable. This is not a way to display your phone on a larger screen then you still hold your phone and control it with your finger, you actually plug your phone in and set it down and use your monitor, keyboard, and mouse to operate it. This is not a way to control your computer from your phone, I want a way to control my phone from my computer.
If it helps: The picture on the app's site was of the phone in the foreground and the computer in the background with it tethered through the USB and both displays were the same (on the computer and android)
