Only 8GB internal storage?!?

So I checked my internal storage memory and it is only showing a total of 8 GB...has anyone else noticed this? Where is my other 8 GB???

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere recently that the 16GB internal storage is divided: 4GB reserved for apps, 4GB for system files, and 8GB is avail to the user for whatever. (Plus the 16GB avail on the microSD card).

So what if the user wants to use (part of) that 8 gigs for apps?

There is the phone storage area that had like four or something then the media area that has another eight. Then I'm sure some is lost in the formatting and some dedicated to a system area.

I honestly wonder how many apps or what apps people are using... 4gb worth of apps are a TON of apps. That's like every single one on the market.

4gb for apps is MORE than enough for me. I'm happy with it!

So does this mean we aren't going to have full access to 16gb as advertised?

Correct, its closer to 4 for apps that have to be in phone storage and 8 for apps that can be moved to media storage.
