one touch calling help

Hi, can someone tell me how to add a one touch call icon to the screen? My provider put two of them on and they are blue. All i can seem to get on there is a contact (grey) which means I have to hit two buttons to call.
thanks!

Yes a contact. I have a blue icon on my screen, which if I touch it once, the phone dials that person or contact, number whatever. I can't figure out how to put more on there

I have a Droid 1 so I'm somewhat guessing here but I would imagine they're similar in some ways. Have you tried long pressing on the screen>shortcut, and then scrolled down the list?

I'm a noob to all this, but I think this works...

Long press the screen where you want the contact to appear

Select Motorola Widgets

Select Contact Quick Tasks

Choose the contact and which phone number from that contact you want to appear

Good luck!

Long press on the screen then press add shortcut (or press your menu button and press add, then choose shortcut). Choose Direct Dial, then a list of your contact numbers will show up.

I didn't even think about you having Motorola widgets. Yeah, you can long press and select Motorola widgets. But if you have the shortcuts contact too, it shows their picture
