Although you will pay a hefty $15.99 premium price for each one of these, owners of the NVIDIA Shield can now "wax nostalgic" for the good old days of jRPG gaming heaven. Four of the classic Final Fantasy games are now available for the Shield Tablet at that price.

These are Final Fantasy III, IV, V & VI. Here's a series of links below for each one on NVIDIA's website:

Never got into those games. Don't see myself for doing so at that price either. Not the biggest fan of turn-based combat, though it's kinda growing on me as I get more into some android games. Still not my favorite and since I have no nostalgic memories of playing FF games, I think I'll pass on this offer.

I like how you can buy the first few Sonic the Hedgehog games for a couple bucks a piece, and Square wants to charge you a decent meal's worth of cash for their ancient games.

umm... these have been available on the play store for a while now? what's new here?

I wait until they are on at least a 50% sale.... currently waiting to get my hands on chrono trigger for less than 9.99

Yeah... these are specifically on NVIDIA's games for the Shield landing spot now. It might be graphical optimized/enhanced for the Shield... they didn't specify.
