Now ICS, what about GSM international

Had my D4 check for system update and ICS was available and downloaded.
Now what aboutinternation. I checked the setup and it has GSM but I do not have sim installed so it does not seem to be active. Anyone looked into it?

You have to have a SIM for it to be active, there is no way to check, verify or do anything without a SIM.

I may go to my local Verizon store tomorrow and ask for one! I have a SIM for my D2 but think the D4 takes the smaller SIM.

A GSM sim will probably not get service in the US because of band lock (as with the D2G, pre hack). However, lots of reports of successful use of GSM abroad from users who installed the .217 leak
