Noticed unused folders

I did a 2.3.340 update.zip to get bloatware back and noticed apps that I uninstalled still had folders present.

Should I delete them, is there a way to tell if they are fine to delete?

I assume you are meaning your sdcard? If so I occasionally just format my entire card the Android OS will recreate all neccessary folders as do the Apps just make sure you dont delete your pictures :blink:

How do you format the card without deleting the pictures?

I copy them onto my computer hd and then format and after I am done put them back

Last question: Because I did an update.zip, did this write over the system files or create a second set? Should I do a factory data reset? I viewed a youtube video of a guy flashing the stock rom and he did that as a last step...
