I'm coming from a blackberry to the droid. I like everything about it but cant find any type of note pad. Any ideas?

go to the marketplace and type in search....aknotepad....its a free app and works well.:motdroidhoriz: Welcome to the Mothership!

ak is great, I also find myself using Status Notes more than anything because its displayed in your notification window...

+1 for Note Everything. Has simple text notes, also "paintnote" where you can write or draw on the screen with your finger, voice notes and more. Basic app is free; if you get the Pro version (about $4.20), you get these additional features, well worth it IMO:

This add-on adds this & more features to NE:
- Photo notes
- Checklists
- Durable checklists
- Reminder
- Encryption (password protection)
- Stick notes to status bar
- Full backup to sd-card

(no, I don't work for them, but this was one of the first apps I put on my Droid and possibly the one I use most.)

After posting in this thread, I decided to head to the market and look around a bit, and to my surprise I came across an app called "Easy note" It heavily reminds me of an app called "Awesome Note" I used on the iPhone. It allows you customize text size, color, folder color, background, even has a quick note feature that allows you to draw. It has some performance issues, and is a little rough around the edges, but this is definitely one to watch for. It owns on the iPhone.
