Not receiving texts since ics update

For some reason since the update i receive a few or none of the texts people send me.

I even had a few friends sit down next to me and send me texts but none went through. This never happened before the update.

Try the simple things first... If you are using a 3rd party SMS application then uninstall it via the Play Store and reinstall and test. If using the default SMS app go into Manage Apps--ALL--Text Messaging and Clear Data, Force Stop then power cycle and retest. If that does not fix the issue then perform a factory reset on the phone. ICS was a HUGE update and sometimes little things may not update/install exactly right and may need a factory reset to correct.
