not receiving phone calls

a few people have claimed to have called me but i never got a call, not even a missed call and my phone was on the entire time ... why? if i do not have good service where i am could that be why? still i don't see why the call would not come through, even as just a missed call .... ?

When was the last time you updated your PRL codes? *228 Option 2.

Also, if it's only some people and not everybody, go to their contact entry and select "Options" from the menu. Make sure "send calls directly to voicemail" isn't checked. Apparently it can get set without you knowing it (a bug in sync with google). This happened to my wife where calls from one particular person were always going straight to voicemail, but other calls were getting through. Took a while to figure out.
