Not getting calls or text messages

I am not really sure what is going on but from time to time I am not getting text messages or phone calls. Its not all the time but something is wrong here. Any ideas??

Nope, no smart actions on my phone at all.

Are the messages never arriving, or just delayed? It might seem like an obvious thing, but are you sure you have coverage where you are? At home I used to have great coverage, but starting about a month ago, I lost it. Only had my wifi until I put in a Network Extender last week.

Another thing is are you noticing this from a particular person or in general? I'm wondering if it could be a problem on their end.

The messages and the calls are never coming. I checked and made sure I had service and I did. So far the problem has only been from my wife that I know of. She tried to text and call me a few times yesterday and then I got a email from her saying to call her and I have no problems calling her phone. Its strange because this is the third time this has happened and it has never happened before. The other day when she came home she said she tried calling me and I didnt believe her so I told her to call my phone and when she did it went right to voice mail three times. Strange.

Go to "Phone" then "Contacts" go to your wife's contact, choose "menu" then "Options." Is "Incoming calls, send calls directly to voicemail" checked?

Yup, that's where I'd look too. Probably needs to be changed.

I've had this problem to but it was with a leaked Ics version and it was from multiple contacts not one. And it only did about once every other week and I would have to reset phone to fix. But that sounds like a different issue.

Another thing you might try is if you have an extra phone activate it on her line temporarily and try texting and calling from the new phone

i have had this same problem and i have turned off my phones lte capability, so far everything has been going good, this was only happening when my data was on and running on lte.

galaxy s4, s2 had same problem on both and fixed with same solution.
