No streaming movies on rooted devices?

So I opened my Flixster App for the first time in quite a while today. And they announced they now stream movies through ultraviolet and even gave me a free movie: The Perfect Storm.

Great! So I hit Watch Now after getting all set up only to get:

"It looks like your device is rooted. Unfortunately, movie streaming is not supported on rooted devices for security and stability reasons."

WHAT THE HECK?!? Seriously?

Any workarounds?

Trying using Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper to temporarily unroot, and see if it'll let you watch it?

Duh! Great idea. I have that installed and didn't even think of it.

I'm curious to see if it works. I've seen other apps, games even, that won't let you play if you're rooted.

Yep, unrooting with Voodoo didn't work. :(

Oh well, I can use my wife's Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 to stream movies.

Thanks for the confirmation. You can also use it for the Redbox Instant app.
