No direct dial for Facebook contacts ?

I have a number of Facebook contacts that include phone numbers. It seems I cannot create direct dial shortcuts to those numbers.

Any workarounds ??

There's no way of doing it because FB contacts aren't actually stored on the phone or as 1 of your contacts in your Google account. You also can't edit FB contact info for the same reason.
