Nexus 7 Gyroscope Issue

I have a 2013 Nexus 7. Recently, the gyroscope has not been working. I used the app Elixir 2 to check and there is no reading. I tried doing a reset and that fixed it for a while, but now it's back to not working. Does anyone know how to fix it?

For what it's worth, it's running Cyanogenmod.

Well, I would say why don't you try clearing the cache and the data stored by the Elixir application. And see if the gyroscope starts working again or not !
