Hey guys the newest root wireless tether build has a profile for the Bionic and works perfectly. Just an FYI. For those that don't know just google "android wireless tether" to get to the google code and download page.

Apparently it's the 3.1-beta7. Worked flawlessly for me. I was finally able to tether my wifi Xoom and get internet thru it. Sweet.

cant you just use sqlite editor to edit the entitlement_check and then you can just use the normal hotspot that comes on the phone.

I've read on many forums, including here, that even with the sqlite hack your tethering can still be tracked by VZW and you could POSSIBLE have your contract terminated.
Now with that being said, is this still using wifi tether in the same method as the mobile hotspot does? Will VZW be able to track your tether usage????

I was reading a post on here that a couple of Verizon reps wrote in on. They stated that the only thing Verizon can track right now with tethering is by "assuming" you are tethering if you go over 6GB a month. At that point the only thing they can really do is throttle your bandwidth. (Which by the way, you can see my post on how to remove the throttle if they do)

They also said PDA net tether was NOT a breach of your contract being you do not have to modify your phone to use it. I believe PDA net won that battle within the last couple of weeks as it suddenly showed back up on the market. So...point being they have no way to tell if your using wireless tether or a "legal" tethering app to use 6GB a month. At this point...no worries.

That's the clearest answer I've come across since the hack was released, thank you
