Newb question - handcent

So, based on a lot of your recommendations I downloaded Handcent.

It looks really cool. How do I make it replace my existing stock text messaging program? [I'm assuming thats what you guys do?]

You just turn off notifications in the stock mms.apk and use Handcent to create and send your messages

OK, one more question, I tried to send to an email address... and it woudln't show up in the lookup. How do I add my email addresses so they show up in the To: box?

As far as I know, it can't be done...they must be manually inputed

Well, there is strike one against Handcent.

But at least I feel better for not being too stupid to figure it out.
