New user with e-mail quesstion.

My question is do you have to have a @gmail e-mail account? I just changed my email to a @Live.com account, hate to change everything again. Can I use the Live email with my Droid smart phone?

you can use your live email, but everything will sync to your gmail account

there should be an email app in your phone and you can sync it up with your live account, however I don't have one and not sure if it'll work or not

My problem is I tried to set up an email account, and would only let me set up one with gmail.com. Things will probably make more sense when I actually get my phone. Thank you for the quick response.

Your primary account has to be a Google account. As stated above, it's the account that your Market apps are tied to. You can certainly set up as many other email accounts as you want in addition to your primary account. I don't even use my gmail account.
