I have had the Motorola Droid for about 4 months now, and have begun to root the phone and explore my options with it. I don't think I will ever get any other OS on a phone besides Android. I am joining this forum because I want to learn many new things, and possibly help others with information I have obtained. I am currently in the process of searching for a way to completely wipe my SD card, wipe my phone, re-root and begin to use some new roms. If any easy ways of doing so please post or direct me to a post in this forum with information already attached. Thanks!

Welcome to the community and the Android OS is amazing with customization and just the overall user interface is pretty good but i know i wont be switching OS's unless Tegra 2, 3, or 4 technology comes out in other phones but i think the Android system will follow the tech trend and eventually adopt the Tegra Technology

You can reformat you SD by using your phone tap menu, tap settings, tap SD, tap Format SD card.

I'm a fanatic about making backups so I suggest that before you reformat your SD card make a
backup. Mount/connect your phone to your computer and copy the card to your computer. Additionally, make a backup before you add a new rom, theme or kernel. A solid backup can save you hours of work and frustration.

Hope this is helpful.
